@csname1910  according to the specs I'm seeing for the Inspiron 13 7391, it does NOT use Ice Lake as you mentioned.  It comes with the i5-10210U and i7-10510U CPUs.  Not all 10th Gen Core CPUs use the new Ice Lake architecture that includes the 10 nm fabrication process and brand new Gen 11 GPU.  The CPUs I just mentioned use the "Comet Lake" architecture, which is basically just another minor refresh of the 14 nm architecture that was first introduced with "Broadwell" (5th Gen) and that does not include that new GPU.  As of this writing, only the 10th Gen CPUs with a "G" in their model name use the Ice Lake architecture, like the CPUs available in the XPS 13 7390 2-in-1 you asked about in your other thread (although ironically the "regular" XPS 13 7390 gets Comet Lake CPUs instead.)  If you want to check this on your own, go to ark.intel.com, find the specific CPU model you want to learn about, and click it.  The Code Name field will identify a CPU as Comet Lake, Ice Lake, etc.

This difference is important in this case because the new Ice Lake CPUs support DisplayPort 1.4 over USB-C, which means they can support display setups with higher bandwidth requirements.  They can also support 5K resolution.  The Comet Lake CPUs still only support DisplayPort 1.2 with lower total bandwidth and a maximum resolution of 4K per display.

Easily. That system has a built-in HDMI output that you can use, and then the USB-C port also supports video output, which you can do with something as simple as a USB-C to DisplayPort or HDMI cable or dongle. You could also run multiple displays from the system’s USB-C/TB3 port. On that subject, the same answer I gave in this other thread you just created will apply to this system: https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/Two-external-monitors/m-p/7394923

On a side note, it’s not a great idea to create two different topics with the exact same title within a short period of time that ask the same question about two different systems. Next time it would probably be better to include the system model in the title itself.

I just bought an Inspiron 7391 and have not been able to get an independent feed to an external monitor. It just basically mirrors the laptop screen.  I thought this was a given considering that the laptop has the latest 10th gen i7 10510 U processor.  I have checked and updated all drivers. Would I need to go for an external graphic card ?
