Underwhelming Windows 11
Out of boredom and curiosity I put Windows 11 on my newer Dell Inspiron 15 3501 notebook PC.
The changeover on the Dell notebook took longer than expected. Windows 11 installation was interrupted by an error message, which Microsoft support said required a Windows 10 repair installation that was not needed. Instead, a "sfc/scannow" command cleaned up corrupt Windows 10 files that needed repair for the Windows 11 setup.
With Windows 11 on the Dell notebook, it looks at first as if everything runs as it did under Windows 10. It's probably good and bad that I'm left wondering what the fuss over Windows 11 was because nothing meaningful seems to have changed from using Windows 10.

Windows 11, unlike prior Windows versions, is not a totally new OS. It is closer to a refresh for Windows 10. And remember it is based on Windows 10 which is why drivers and programs tend to work properly that are Windows 10 based.

I have been using the Windows Insider Program advanced Windows 11 beta versions for about 2 months. The first time I booted to Win 11 I was "underwhelmed". A few minor changes and start in the middle instead of left side is the biggest difference. I also use my desktop (spec's below) in my recording studio and all the studio apps work OK in Win 11. Because I was running dual boot Win 10 and Win 11 Insider versions on my desktop, I upgraded the Win 10 Pro to Win 11 Pro this morning. It was "uneventful" and I knew it would work from already running advanced versions with no problems.
