Upgrading HDD to SSD
Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 5570 with i5 - 8250U, 8GB RAM, and 1TB HDD, and has gotten very slow in the past years (I got it in 2019). I am considering swapping the HDD to a 240/256 GB SSD since I only use around 100GB anyways. I was wondering if this is possible, since I am downgrading the overall capacity, and if it is, are there any videos/guides that can lay everything out step by step for me as I do not have too much computer knowledge

This YouTube video should help. And I am not sure if you are going to replace the 2.5" HDD with a 2.5" SSD, in which case you will need an external drive enclosure to connect the new drive to a USB port for cloning. Or if you are installing an M.2 SSD in addition to the HDD which makes the procedure a bit simpler.

buy a same size 2.5 ssd open back cover fix the new hdd in the same place where old is fixed, intall the os and all done
