Wake from USB not working?

Hi, there is an option in the bios on my Dell G5 5500 windows 11 laptop that says wake on USB and i would really like to be able to shut my laptop down and use my mouse as a way to just turn it back on, I initially thought this option may only be for when the laptop is in sleep mode but it actually says in the bios it works from power off as well as highlighted in the picture.

On my laptop it's not doing anything though with it enabled, am i supposed to plug a usb device in for it to work?

It says only works when deep sleep is disabled and it is disabled on my system.

Can anyone please help as i would find this really useful.

Regards

You were on right settings, scroll down to get Enable USB Wake Support

Wake from USB is only for waking it from sleep mode. It wont power on the computer if machine is completely shutdown.

Once that settings is enabled you should be able to wake the machine using a wired mouse or keyboard. Some wireless mice can also wake up the machine

Hi, thanks for your reply.

On my picture enable wake support is enabled isn't it? right below the part were it says Note: this feature is only functional on a/c?

And it does say at the top can wake the system from power off?

I have no separate option of wake by usb below there so i am guessing the very top option set as on is the on for that option?

USB wake support works with or without AC

System power off : As said earlier there is no way to power on, those are options are only meant for machine to wake from sleep
