what is "KickStart.WindowService"?

Lately this "Kickstart.WindowService" thing suddenly pop up in my task manager and it's using over 30% of my CPU usage. What is this "KickStart.WindowService" and why is it using so much of my CPU?.

The PRSvc.exe process is also known as KickStart.WindowService  and is a part of Product Registration . This software is produced by Dell (www.dell.com). An obsolete or defective version of PRSvc.exe can cause problems for your computer that can range from slowness to error messages such as these:

  • KickStart.WindowService has stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem... (Windows 10, 8, 7)
  • KickStart.WindowService has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. (Windows 10, 8, 7)
  • PRSvc.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
  • Access violation at address FFFFFFFF in module PRSvc.exe. Read of address 00000000.
