The AC 9462 card is a CNVio device which means it uses chipset components to work. So, make sure those drivers are updated.
Other than that, when I have a problem with Wi-Fi, I download the current driver. Then I go offline and uninstall the prior device and all its drivers. Once that is done, I reboot and install the new driver and only go back online after that is complete.
You may have to uninstall the device more than once if you have earlier drivers on your system.
Do you have the ability to change out the card with something like an Intel AX201?
If you haven't seen it, the link is from Intel which may help.

If you want to troubleshoot, you might open the Properties for the Device in the Device Manager and look at the Events tab. Make sure and scroll to the bottom of the listing and see what it might be doing as far as having a specific problem.
Windows may be offering drivers for the Wi-Fi card, I seem to get them quite often.

Click on Network & internet. Click the Advanced network settings tab on the right side. Under the “More settings” section, click the Network Reset tab at the bottom of the page. Click the Reset now button to fix the WiFi problems on Windows 11.

Dell is irresponsible with this driver update. Always encountering errors after a windows 11 update.

So sorry for such a late response. This is not a driver issue but a firmware issue. I had the same issue and Dell technical support was no help. You need to reflash the firmware. If it is the most updated, try rolling back the firmware a previous version, that should fix it. It should be safe to upgrade the firmware to the latest version once it is fixed as well.

@chomyn
maybe if you are trying to help people, provide a link or the instructions for the operation you suggest. what you have here is not helpful.

@chomyn Also - reflashing firmware on a consumer wifi card is not available unless you are planning on soldering wires to the chip directly. They are likely not using a development wifi board.
however, if you have another of the same computer then try to pull the wifi card from that one, put it in your other one. If its a problem with the firmware of the wireless card, then swapping these would cause it to work instantly. If it didnt work, then its an issue with software on your computer, as i dont yet know what the problem is, a fix right now would be to reinstall windows. if you find an answer plz post it!

Flashing the BIOS is a fairly easy, if it helps with more information, you can download the BIOS file directly from the Dell website using your service tag and you put it on a USB stick. You then reboot and hit F12 and go into the BIOS. You then can select from there to update the BIOS manually with that file you downloaded. Select the file. The BIOS should automatically roll back to the version you downloaded. It’s an extremely easy procedure, which requires no technical expertise.

This again refers to the Dell BIOS itself not any specific card, I’m just letting you know what worked for me when the Dell built in WiFi completely disappeared as if there was no WiFi at all. Dell support was no help as they just wanted me to mail the laptop to them.
