isi_dsp_install Drive_Support_v1.41.1.tar error

I get a failed status with an error rc=Overlapping patch: Drive_Support_v1.35.  That previous update was some months ago of which the isi_dsptool.log file seems to indicate it was successful.  However, if I do a isi upgrade patches list, I see the patch listed, with status partial.  As far as I know, isi_dsp_install was used on that patch as is required.  The OneFS version is 9.1.0.5.  I have tried isi_dsp_install --delete which completes successfully but does not resolve the issue.  Suggestions?

Probably it is good to contact to Dell Tech support.

 

There is a highly restricted knowledge base article: KB000195176 - isi_dsp_install fails due to an illegal overlaps with a different DSP version.
(Since it is restricted one, I don't embed the URL of KB.)

 

It explains if an old stale CHECKS request remains in Isilon/PowerStore, mostly because of previous interrupted/terminated isi_dsp_install script, the remained request is overlapped with the new isi_dsp_install one and the error occurs.

 

This issue is solved in OneFS 9.3 and later but if users are using pre-9.3 OneFS, we need to install a patch or take a complicated action plan for it. Hence, I recommend opening a ticket with Dell Tech support.
