Isilon BenchMarking Tool
Hi
One of my customer have got recently installed\implemented Isilon 8.0.0.3 . Customer would need some benchmarking tool for Isilon prior he get into production.
Customer expectation is a tool from EMC on Isilon which can provide performance characteristics of ISILON. Please let me know if you have got any such tool used at other customer sites.

There are many, many benchmarking tools available, both open source and commercial.
The most accurate tool for the customer is to run their own applications and measure them, however they would like.
One thing to be very, very careful of is comparing isolated benchmarks between different architectures. For example, comparing single-stream writes against a NetApp (or any other scale-up architecture) will likely yield vastly different results than running dozens or hundreds of streams. If this is how your production is, that's fine. If it's not, then why measure it? How the data is accessed will also affect the outcome.
It's trivial to lie with benchmarks.
