Point of using DFS with Isilon
Really my own experience with DFS is using it to sync files from one share to another across multiple MS file servers on servers that are not technically clustered but externally load balanced. More or less, instead of using RSYNC like you may use on a Linux Samba Share for example.
What is the point of using a DFS with Isilon? Can anyone provide details or examples on why this would be used. I've heard it mentioned in the past but was really just being inquisitive.

Hello Bikinger,
All currently supported versions of OneFS can be used as a Distributed File System (DFS) target. Using the cluster as a DFS target provides a central share namespace that allows you to easily add, remove, and migrate storage devices without changing the visible path.
