7 beeps

I purchase a Dell laptop in 2011 and it won't start and is emitting 7 beeps continuously. I specifically purchased Dell due to the fact that it was recommended for quality.  I am disappointed as I have a Dell PC which I bought in 2006 and it is running perfectly.  Since being online and finding out that this is a common issue with the M5030 I am further annoyed.  I tried wrapping it up in a blanket and it starts but has just went off for no reason.  As this is a known issue I would like to know what specifically is the problem.  Is it the processor or is it the North Bridge Chip or even the graphics chip?  Please help.

Thanks for that.  I tried replacing the thermal paste - cheapest option first. That didn't work.

Watched the video on baking the motherboard for 10 minutes and tried that. It worked!

Many thanks,

Mary
