After Windows Update (automatic) Red Message "Invalid Signature detected. Check Policy in Setup"
Hello
I really need help.
Yesterday evening windows retarted my laptop, telling me it found a new update. I vened had no choice, it just restarted.
Last windows version was fall creator update. Now i don't know the one it just installed.
Since nothing happened except the littles dots moving sometimes, I let it work over night, thinking that in the morning it would have installed the update.
But this morning I found only a black screen, and after reboot this red message.
It seems it is not finding the disk boot sector.
Any Idea? Panik...

Anyway, now Microsoft thinks that a driver has been damaged.
I don't understand why a restore did not solve the problem, because before the update friday night it was working.
Would like to start it in safe mode, but can't find out how.
In the Bios, I see 3 boot options (other than my USB device I added)
1/ Windows Boot manager
2/ UEFI IP4 RealteK PCIe FE Family Controller
3/ UEFI IP6 RealteK PCIe FE Family Controller
That is normal?
Thanks
PS I will search for a copy of my invoice from Dell... *sigh*

He says he bought the laptop in the USA, but the Service Tag says that it is not one sold in this country.
As far as I am concerned, that's a red flag.
Who knows what the laptop really is.

The Windows Boot Manager is the normal UEFI boot option. If there is something wrong with that it may not work.
You should be able to find a Safe Mode Boot option from the Bootable USB drive.

Thank you Saltgrass
Yes you are right I think there must be a problem with the boot manager.
While I run a complete disk check which seems to take years, I found this link on how to fix boot issues.
https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32523/how-to-manually-repair-windows-7-boot-loader-problems/
I will try this later.
Also I will launch this firmware thing. I guess I will be able to change the start options there.
Finally I found a bunch of threats similar to mine, but without a real solution.
Maybe we will find out.

Update
My hard drive is Okay, the long diagnostic did not find any error. (it took some hours to process).
In Bios I reset all keys to factory, but still can't boot in secure boot mode, same security warning.
With secure boot off, it also fails to start, not finding the HDD.
Only option is restore MBR?
Although I read somewhere that in UEFI mode, the MBR is not used.
Waiting for a call from MS support level 2
*Sigh*
And YES, It's a Dell I bought at Dell webstore!!
