Audio Input With Rosetta Stone

I want to use the Rosetta Stone software on my Inspiron 17r. One of the software's features is the ability to record your own voice and play it back to ensure correct pronunciation.

How do I do that on the laptop? I know it has a microphone built in for use with Dell Webcam,  sound recorder, and Windows speech recognition, etc. In the past, I had a USB microphone that I used with Rosetta Stone, but I also had to select it from the sound control panel as the source of audio input (I think, been a long time).

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi YvonneA,

Once the Rosetta stone software is installed on the system, it should automatically use the built in microphone of the Laptop. There are no settings that have to be changed on your system as the software would configure the way Microphone and speakers work.

I request you to use the software and let us know in case of any concerns

 Thanks and Regards
