BAT-30IL error code?

Question

What does it mean, on a BAT-30IL (inspiron 7500) when every OTHER LED lights green and flashes when the 'test' button is depressed? No bar graph per se. Battery doesn't work, either, but individual cell sets read from 3.2 volts to 3.7 volts.

The battery is dead. Did you test the voltage against a load, or without one?

No-load; if I put a load on it (I used two headlight bulbs in series) 3 packs drop to about 3 volts and one to 2.7

The one that drops to 2.7 is the dead one - though it makes no sense to replace just it, since the others are the same age.
