Frankly I don't know, but I have attached a 90 watt power supply directly in to the back of my laptops on accident before and have had no adverse effects (they normally take 60 watts).

My suggestion is to get an old CPx with a spare hd and attach a 312-0028 to it. It should work, and there's no downside (other than losing a computer that's not worth a whole lot).
