Beep-Beep sound when I turn on my laptop
Hello!
I just have bought Dell laptop Inspiron 15R n5520. I got it delivered this morning. I red the instructions and did as it said. I connected the power adapter and pressed the power button. It seemed like laptop turns on but in the end all I got is white glowing screen and weird beep-beep sound. Laptop is already charging for hours and it still do not work... What should I do?

Hi sir,
I am facing the same problems like all the people out here i just shut down my laptop last night like normal but when i turned on my laptop on next day i am start getting beep sounds a 7 beeps sound in my dell inspiron M5030 i don,t how to solve this issue please help me about this i will be glad if you do so ....

Hi Umair,
Welcome to the Community,
Beep sounds can be used as diagnostic indicator. The computer might emit a series of beeps during start-up if there are errors or problems. This series of beeps identifies a problem and is called a beep codes.
7 beeps indicates processor failure. Private message me your system Service Tag number. To private message click on my user name and click start conversation.

dear sir,
I am using Dell laptop Studio 1555 for past 3 year having tag no. .
when i starts the system I hear 1 large beep and 2 smaller beep and then continuous 6 beep at smaller interval. As you have mentioned I thinks this is video chip faliure. My screen remains black and nothing happens.
plz help.

Hi Roshan, My laptop gives 8 beeps sound continuously for the last two months when i switched on the power button.it just shows black screen. I tried all the steps you mentioned in this blogs to other users like removed batteries and ac adapter,press and hold button and then press the power button. It didn't even the show the dell startup screen. so unable to use f2 and f12 keys also to diagonise the problem.

I have an Inspiron 3147/3148 that is beeping 7 times. I am not sure what to do to fix this or who to contact for support.

It is the problem of BIOS where it halts on not identifying the keyboard. I had exact same problem but would work intermittently. Once I updated the bios to latest version A14, on startup windows found new hardware - keyboard and then asked for restart. I power cycled the unit 10-12 times without any issue and am writing this comment from same machine. - Compuguru4u.
