Beeping when using the touchpad

hello !

i am using the inspiron 8600c extreme for about 1,5 month now. it is real great !! but there is one point concerning me:

when i want to display dark web pages, i can hear a quiet (but loud enough !! ;) ) and permanent "beep-sound" somewhere from the left of the power an the volume buttons.

the same sound comes when i use the touchpad. not always, but sometimes...
when i move my finger on the pad, i hear the beep. stopping movement will cause the beep go away.

what can there be wrong ?

the bottom of my book also gets very hot and i read somewhere, that this could be an issue with a broken mainboard. could it be, that i have a broken mainboard and the sound comes from there ?

thanks for every response !!
(sorry for my english. i am german)

Very hot is relative. If your system has a desktop processor as opposed to a Pentium M, it will get pretty hot. As far as the beeping goes, run the diagnostics. Power on the system, hit F12, select diagnostics. When it gets to the gray page, select custom test and select mouse or input device. I would suggest running the extended diagnostics overnight as well. You will get a failure if there is no cd in the drive. You may also get a failure for no burnable media if you have a DVD/CD burner. If anything else fails, note the failure code and call into tech support or post it here.

i have an i8600c extreme with a M735 prozessor.
but the place where it gets hot is where the RAM is located.
now i have some software to check the temperatures. i will make some tests and post the results....
