I have some information about this on my SITE. Version A02 will work with your machine. I also have some splash screens that you may want to use.
As with anything that programs the BIOS, you could have a problem that could affect your BIOS negatively. But if you follow the instructions, you should not have any problems.

Is there a site with BIOS information, how to upgrade, downgrade, keyboard commands etc? I was reading about the Fn+F7, for instance, and I am curious as to all the options in the BIOS.
When you create the floppy disk using SPL-A02.EXE program, it will create a file on the floppy called splash.txt. In there is directions on how to use the splash program.
