Broken screen hinge: general hardware ??
Hi,
For my old and loyal Inspiron7500, I am looking for a replacement right side screen hinge, that small but important piece of die-cast aluminium, who can help me...?

Hi,
It is also worth looking at Parts-People, they may have the parts you need. In your model it was common for the " saddle " the hinge screws into to be the fault. I would also replace all the parts in both sides at the same time. The I7000 used similar parts, some are the same and some are slightly different so be carefull buying.

Hi, thanks for the responses, considering the costs for repair, I think the Insp7500 will start a new life (or retirement) as a desktop PC.

Hi,
I put a hinge set from Parts-People in a friends 7000, cost about $40 All parts, upper and lower saddles and even the plastic covers. Now as good as new. What normally happems is the screws come loose, then come out of the saddle. The holes get stretched, so once the damage starts, the screws cant be tightened.
