BSOD: DRIVER_STATE_POWER_FAILRE - ??!!!???

Hi!  I have on different occasions lately encountered the above message when either turning off the computer or sending it into hibernation.  It is preceeded by a rather long wait from the "turn off signal" is given until the computer actually begins to visibly shut off.  Then it comes to the "saving settings" screen, and, as far as I can tell, splats up the BSOD before the "logging off" or "Exiting Windows" messages would show up.

 

I didn't note all the messages that came up yesterday, and I threw away the old notes from a couple of weeks ago, as it all of a sudden has behaved all right for a little while...

 

Any suggestions, both as to what to do with the problem, and if necessary to assess it better, how I can find an error dump on the harddisk?
