Cannot navigate the BIOS using arrow keys

I am having trouble with my laptop keys making beeping noises and not doing anything so I went into my bios to see if I can learn something.  Unfortunately, I can not navigate through the BIOS screen because my arrow buttons will not work properly.  In this current state, everytime I press my arrow keys it changes my clock hour time.   Has anyone else had these problems?   I have looked all over the place but can not seem to find any answers to a non-responsive keyboard.   By the way, there are SOME keys (about half) that still seems to work but notably the ENTER, BACKSPACE and ALT keys do not work.

Take the keyboard screws out from the bottom and then lift it up, but do not disconnect the plug from the mainboard. Make sure it is plugged in all the way and then try your keyboard again. If it still messes up, replace it with a new one. I  have one in my junk box with the same sort of problem, which I am keeeping just for spare keys.
