Constant 100% CPU Usage

HI... I am using Inspiron 8600 with 1 GB RAM, 120 GB HDD, WINDOWS XP-SP2, Norton Anti Virus-2005. Softwares mainly used are AutoCAD-2007 and MS OFFICE 2003

My laptop stopped responding...every time I start windows it reaches up to log in screen and stops responding, I formatted "C" drive and installed Win-xp again but immediately after installing XP it was showing 100% usage. Once I install office 2003 and ACAD-2007 it will work for 2 to 3 days and then stop responding like before. I did this process 3 time (formatting and re-installing XP) but problem continued.

I changed my Hard disk and reinstalled every thing but the problem is not solved

The Onboard USB is not working, I think above problem started when the USB port stopped working....Please help...I am facing this since last 45 days and tiered of re-installing XP

I had a similar problem w/ random 100% usage.  It turned out to be a stuck 'Print Screen' button on my keyboard.  Was still under warranty then, so Dell replaced it.  Maybe something like that is going on...

Thanks for the reply,

I checked all the keys but everything is ok....Is there a way to check which hardware part has problem?

If you have your Dell Diagnostics disc you can run the tests on that.  That's how I found out what was happening.
