CPU Processor Fan Test - Failed!

My fan has been extremely loud and hot and so I ran a diagnostic test.

It failed the CPU Processor Test and it leads me think that it should be replaced.

Any suggestions?

Is this is DIY (do it yourself) kind of job or do I need to bring to "Geek Squad" or some other local PC repair shop to have this fixed?

BTW, I have an inspiron 9300 and the warranty is over.

Please advise

Removing the fans is pretty straight forward.  If you are careful, you can do it yourself.

Here are the instructions on how to remove the system fan.

That system has two fans.

Here is large fan:

Here is the small fan:

So if the processor fan test failed , does it indicate that I would need to replace both fans?

replacing the fan seems fairly simple, but removing everything else before that seems complicated and cumbersome.

how much would a local pc repair shop typically charge for this line of work?

You would have to ask them as these rates vary depending on the work involved. On laptops these units are very densely packed and the process almost always involves removing half a dozen intricate components. You also need to stop using your laptop until the fan is replaced as the CPU will fail when it reaches a certain temperature.
