CPU Score using PCMark2002

I too have gotten around a 400 in the hard drive test and have also been thinking about upgrading to the Hitachi 7k60.

Hi Sandpeep I ran the same test on 5150(specs below) CPU: 7446,  MEM: 6583, HD: 439.  I also think my hardrive scores are low and am considering buying the hitachi 60gb 7200rpm drive everybody is raving about. By the way did you monitor your temps during the test my com got up to a max of 58c and quickly dropped down after the test.  Joe

I5150 3.06 non h/t,  512 ram(2 sticks), 40g hardrive 4200rpm, radeon 9000 64mb, bios a24, win xp h/e, cdrw/dvd combo drive, wuxga dell ultrasharp

I have the i8500, with the specs you see in my sig. I have just upgraded to the 7k60 from the 60GB 4200rpm HDD, so I'll put both scores side by side for comparison.

CPU: 5785

Mem: 4412

HDD: 927(7k60), 451(old)

As you can see, the CPU and Memory scores are lower than a 5150 (as to be expected from a slower clocked CPU and PC2100 memory compared to PC2700).... the good news is that the 7k60 shows a whopping near double score... and I can assure you it seems a lot faster in use too, a great hard drive.

My friend has a 5150 with a 306 and a gig of ram and his mem score and cpu score are about the same as the first post.  if only those machines were't so ugly and bulky...  what does a pm17 get as a cpu score?
