Dead pixel?
Hi there,
There's a dead pixel on my laptop screen (XPS L502X). I haven't had the laptop very long (a month or two at most). It's not really getting in the way at the moment as it's just the one pixel but I was wondering if it will get worse? Is it worth calling Tech Support or should I just live with it for now?
Thank you.

Hi Englicana,
Welcome to the Community. A display with 1 to 5 Dead or Stuck pixels is within the industry standards, and is therefore considered an acceptable display.
* 1 to 5 Dead or Stuck pixels spread out are within current standards and do NOT warrant a replacement
* 6 or more Dead or Stuck pixels anywhere warrants a replacement monitor
* 2 adjacent Dead or Stuck pixels warrants a replacement monitor with manager approval
* 1 Dead or Stuck pixel directly in the center warrants a replacement monitor with manager approval
You may return any Dell product, no questions asked, within 30 days from the invoice date. After that, you can only do a like for like exchange.
Hope this helps.
Thank you

Well for me it did get worse, I have an L502X that I got back in April and now I'm up to about 30 dead pixels, nearly all of them in the middle of the screen. Worse I cannot just do an exchange, this computer is my livelihood and being without it for even a few days is out of the question. While I absolutely love this laptop this display issue is getting on my nerves. I've been trying to figure out where I can buy a replacement screen from.
