Dell Laptop w/ Windows 8 won't boot past dell logo screen
Inspiron 15R SE 7520
When I attempt to start my laptop it goes to the Dell logo screen and will not boot Windows 8. Any suggestions?
I've had the computer less than a month and if I have to restore the system completely it will not cause much of a problem.

Hi Allan,
I am using inspiron 15 3521 and have also the same problem at the time of booting it says checking media fail after trying 2 to 3 times if it boots it will hang in window 8 login page and if I manage to open win 8 most of the time it hangs I reset it clean all drive still have the same problem please suggest

Run an extended diagnostic on the hard drive -- F12 a few times at powerup.
Sounds likely you have a hard drive on its way to the recycling bin.

I have run an extended diagnostic 3 times, I have changed the SATA back and forth, I have tried the continuous pushing of the enter button, I have tried the shift+F8 but nothing helps. Just the beginning of the boot sequence over and over again. The setup won't let me do anything with the boot sequence. There is no option to boot from USB and there is no optical drive on the laptop. Please help, anything at this point is help so please bring anything you may have.
