Dell PC Restore - Doesn't Work!

Hi All, I have an Inspiron 700m with Windows XP. I am trying to run the Dell PC Restore (Using CTRL-F11 at the boot screen).  The first time I ran it, the computer shut off (completely) about 75% through the restore. After that, I've tried it a few other times - and the computer shuts off anywhere between 25% to 50%.  I can't get the computer to boot up fully anymore, either, as there is an error preventing it from booting up (probably a function of the restore only being half completed).   Any ideas?

If the system is spontaenously shutting down, you've either an overheating problem or a faulty mainboard.

Thanks - it was an overheating problem.  I let the computer rest for half and hour to cool down and it ended up working!
