Display troubles Inspiron 1520
While playing Call of Duty 4 (and Halo) but mainly CoD4, my screen will freeze up for about 10-15 seconds, go black, then come back on. When playing multi player this causes some problems in the form of 1-3 minutes of connection interrupt. It would not be so bad but it happens almost once (some times more) every 5-7 minutes. When I exit the game I get the above message.
My system is as follows:
Dell Inspiron 1520
Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2 duo GHz
2 Gigs ram
Nvidia 8600M gt 256Mb onboard ram
That all I think matters with I problem, but I will post more if needed.
I updated the drivers for the video card about 1 month ago, and the problem got worse, so I've not updated that of a while now.
Has anyone else had troubles with this?

The latest from Dell are not the best. I actually used the update through Microsoft and have not had a problem since then.

I have the 1720 with the problem and it has the latest Dell driver installed. If I opt to install the one from microsoft should I uninstall the Dell one first?
Thanks,
Richard

I'm compleatly up-to-date with my WU.
Driver:
I hit the "Update Driver" button and there are no new drivers for it.

I just stopped having the problem (which was about every other day) when I first got my system. An update solved that.

Solo,
Thanks for the help. I had driver version 7.15.11.5669 loaded from the Dell web site. I have uninstalled it, ran CCleaner rebooted and loaded the latest driver from Microsoft - also 7.15.11.5669!
I will let everyone know if it fixed the problem tonight when I get home from work.
