Error code 2000-0142.

My Dell inspiron isn't working .......i had run diagonatics and it gave me error code 2000-0142.......it also said it needs technical support...what to do ....plz help

Hi,

I believe that error code means the hard drive is, or is about to, fail.  From what you said it sounds like it has already failed.

I don't know which model of Inspiron you're using but if you go to the Dell Support Pages and type in your service tag, it will redirect you to the pages specific for your system, and your country.  You will find contact information for Dell Support on those pages. 

On those pages you'll also find a link for the user manuals specific to your model.  One of the manuals will show you how to replace the hard drive in your system.  Again, since I don't know your model, I can't give you an idea of how hard it is to replace a hard drive in your computer or not.  But take a look and see what is involved.  If you're still under your system warranty then I highly encourage you to contact Dell Tech Support to get the issue resolved.
