Error on Startup of Laptop
Hi All,
I am newcomer to Dell Forums.i am getting error on startup that
" CMOS RTC Power failure press F1 To continue and F2 tp setup utility". and beeps .
When i connect to socket,the desktop appears beeps it for some time.but it shows in appropriate date and time.
Please guide me.I am looking forward to your faviourable reply.

This is a realtime clock battery failure as the error notes - the reserve/CMOS battery needs to be replaced. Post the system model number and someone can point to to the replacement part and procedure.

Hi Sandip,
As ejn63 said the CMOS battery (a coin cell battery ) on the motherboard has failed. Please check the warranty status in this link by punching the service tag.

Hi Sandip,
Try replacing the Cmos battery. You can take help from a local technician or you can use this link to find the manual. If this doesn’t help consider replacing the motherboard.
