Ethernet Controller missing - i8500

Question

I've had to do a complete system reinstall. I've updated all the drivers except for the Ethernet Controller (still showing yellow question mark under the Device Manager). Perhaps related is that my USB 2.0 ports are running at less than optimal speed indicated by an alert message every time I connect my external hard drive.   I can't seem to find a driver for this device from the download page (inspiron 8500). Could someone please provide the correct URL?   Thanks, pbl.
