Ethernet Port Broken?

Hi, yesterday at work, my laptop kind of...fell of the desk because my co-worker accidentally grabbed the power cord and pulled it...(I dont know why), and yeah it fell and the ethernet cord ripped out of the port. I can still use it, but it takes like an hour for it to work. I have to get it in this one position to work. The metal clips seem to be fine...and all in all...it looks ok. I dont know what I should do.... HELP!

Sorry to say but nothing much can be done. Check another cable otherwise motherboard may have to be replaced.:smileysad:

If replacing the motherboard doesn't appeal to you.  (it wouldn't to me... too much $$$).   Buy a PCMCIA lan card.    They are available in both wired and wireless versions depending on your network configuration.   This would be the most cost effective way to resolve the need to connect without replacing the motherboard.
