Fan issue after BIOS update?

Hi all,

I've an Alienware 14 and recently upgraded the BIOS from A08 to the latest A09 from Dell's website.

Since then the machine seems definitely hotter than before and fans rarely seem to run at full blast. I've tried changing the setting from Passive to Active cooling in the CC but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Anyone else experienced the same issue? Thinking of going back to A08 'cause I simply don't trust Dell and their ability to cool a machine (remember all the issues with the XPS M1330, anyone?)
