flashing color lines on boot
Hi,
Recently I manually forced a shut down on my Inspiron 600m (by holding down the button) and turned it back on. Ever since then I cannot boot up the laptop. I dont even get to the BIOS setup screen. The screen flashes colored horizontal or vertical lines. I have had the laptop for a year and it has worked fine up untill now.
Any suggestions?

Try reseating the memory, any mini PCI cards, and the battery. If that doesn't resuscitate the system, you'll have to give Dell a call - something is wrong with the hardware (most likely the mainboard).
