General system device not installed?

After reinstalling the XP (home) operating software onto my Latitude D400 I have managed to get everything working with one exception. In device manager its shjowing a "general system" device with no installed driver.  the device location apears to be:

 

PCI Bus 1, Device 1, Function 3

 

Everything seems to be working so I am not exactly sure what this device is. One clue maybe that I could not get Norton Ghost to run, even after selecting USB type 1 port.. it just froze in the dos screen and seemed not to communicate with my external USB hard drive. Having said that I see the drive fine when XP is booted up.

 

Anyone have any idea's..
