Graphics Error when Playing Games

I just loaded EA Sports Tiger Woods 2005 and when playing I get graphic lines through out and it is tough to see.  I called EA and they said it was my graphics card.  After talking with all Dell hardware support, I have the basic hard drive to run this program and they now think it is the XP software.  He then transfered me to Software Support and he thought the fix was easy, but I do not have the paid support and he referred me to the cart line.  What can I do to fix this graphics error within the software?  I do have Inspiron 6000
