Has anyone taken delivery of the New Studio 1557

Not yet i guess everyone who ordered Studio 1557 is waiting for delivery date which keeps changing !!

I just ordered the 1557 on10/9/09. I have an estimated delivery date of Nov. 3rd.I was wondering if you received your system on the 15th? If so, what are your first impressions?

Good Luck Mate, You just entered into this long waiting Queue. Seems no one yet received the 1557.

My Initial Estimated Delivery was 8th Oct then changed to 15th and Now changed to 21st, we never know when Dell changes the date again!!!

Keep on waiting... that's what we can do!!! Dell is not going to open their mouth to let the Customer know what the exact issue they are facing and when will be the product delivery exactly. They are just making the customers to wait by extending the Estimated Delivery date just before one day each time.

Thank you for the follow up. This may be wishful thinking but I wonder if the reason for the Oct. 21st date is to coincide with the release of windows 7. I know some “select” systems are being offered with Windows 7 allready installed.

I was thinking the same thing about Windows 7.Seems all the dates are being pushed past Oct. 22.

ordered mine Oct.3 with a due date Oct. 29

oh God! The EDD once again changed ... this time to 27th Oct..

No, there wasn't an option to choose the OS (but there may be by the time we get the laptop!) and as far as I can see it is not eligible for Windows 7 free upgrade.

With a bit of luck we'll get it before Christmas.........

My delivery date is now 27th October!

I wish I had known it would have taken that long and been given the option to get Windows 7 on it.

It seems the order delays are with all the products, as opposed to the core i7 processor shortage.

I think any Company (Big or small) ensures customer satisfaction at all the times, I feel Dell needs to realise before loosing all the orders. If Dell is clear on their issues and if they inform the customers that would create a good atmosphere and it increases the faith. Instead of changing the In Production Date and EDD every week. Its more like a playing a safe game. But this would definitely effect the Company's Global reputation. This issue is not specific to one place, we can see the  complaints from Australia, Japan, UK, US etc...

DELL Please realise the customer satifaction, let the customer know the exact issues you are facing instead of keep on changing the EDD.

Hurray, My Status also changed to Order Sent to Delivery :emotion-42: Its a Miracle.... What was stopping Dell all these days I wonder!!

Anyways, Can't believe till we receive the Laptop.
