How can I enable mouse middle button?

I use the touchpad on my Inspiron 5000e. Sadly, I haven't figured out how to enable/use the middle mouse button functionality on the touchpad. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

The issue is that an extra signal must travel to the computer to tell it when the scroll wheel is in use.  See if a BIOS update or updating the drivers for this external mouse help matters.

I haveinspirion 5100 and only 2 touchpad buttons. How do I enable middle button by pressing two touchpad buttons simultaneously? It works on my ThinkPad...
