How to disable (properly) Fingerprint Reader?
I disabled it in bios but windows keeps asking for drivers every time I logon. This doesn't make sense. Shouldn't it be invisible to xp?
Please, help.

Give it the UPEK driver or Tell windows to find the driver automatically and when it fails check the box that says do not search for drivers in the future.

Thank you for your answer. The checkbox trick worked.

And by the way Dell, it's so lame that something which is "disabled" in the Bios is still recognized by the OS.... what is the purpose of a disable option???
