Hi matrix007,

The problem is with the LCD screen of the computer and it needs to be replaced.

If the computer is under warranty, I would be glad to arrange a service on the computer.
Check warranty status: http://dell.to/zEE2Cm

Please provide system’s Service Tag and contact details so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.

In case of expired warranty scenario, we would not be able to extend warranty entitled services.

If the warranty on the computer has expired, below link would help you in contacting expired warranty services (this is for US based customers):

Awaiting your response.

Hi matrix007,

Error 2000-0334 indicates a problem with LCD panel, cable. As the video is fine on the external monitor, there is no problem with the video card or mother board.

To confirm the error message please run the LCD BIST on the laptop to check if there is any problem with the LCD screen.

 To initiate LCD BIST:

  • Connect the AC adapter to your computer.
  • Hold the letter on your keyboard and then turn on your computer.
You will see four colors (grey, red, green, and blue) on the screen in a sequence.

If you see any colors on the screen the LCD screen is fine.
Or if you find the giant fuzzy black vertical line or if the colors are seen only on have of the screen during the test, then the problem is with the LCD screen and LCD needs to be replaced.

Please reply for any further help.

Hi matrix007,

Though the issue seems to be intermittent, its hardware related. I wish the warranty was active I could have arranged for replacement of the parts. Please contact our expired warranty service: http://dell.to/4LOBWi
