Hi clementhui,
It seems that the ‘Acceleration’ is not enabled in the Intel Rapid Storage application in the windows.
You may try the steps below to enable the acceleration.
Also, go to the BIOS screen by pressing F2 at the Dell logo 4-5 times; navigate to ‘Advanced Tab’ and check if the ‘SATA Operation’ is set to ‘Intel Smart Response Technology’.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to reply for any further assistance.

Hi clementhui,
The issue is not related to the BIOS version.
You may try to perform the steps below to see if that resolves the issue.
Disable acceleration from the ‘Intel Rapid Storage Technology’ application and then uninstall the application from the system.
Restart the system and go to the BIOS screen by pressing F2 at the Dell logo 4-5 times; navigate to ‘Advanced Tab’ and change the ‘SATA Operation’ to ‘AHCI’ and exit after saving the settings.
Once the system restarts and boot normally, reinstall the ‘Intel Rapid Storage Technology’ application from the link http://dell.to/1f22x5U.
After installing the application, enable ‘Acceleration’ in the ‘Intel Rapid Storage Technology’ application and restart the system to boot to the BIOS screen. Change the ‘SATA Operation’ to ‘Intel Smart Response Technology’.
Restart the system and check if the error comes up again.
Hope this helps. Please feel free to reply for any further assistance.

If I change the 'SATA Operation' to 'AHCI', the Operation system will crash, I can't login to windows..
The will system will ask me to reformat again..

Hi clementhui,
You will not have to reinstall the windows.
As mentioned in the earlier post, you need to first disable the acceleration within the windows from the ‘Intel Rapid Storage Technology’ application and then change the settings in the BIOS.
Once done, you will be able to boot to windows in ‘AHCI’ mode and uninstall – reinstall the application.
If the system is unable to boot after changing the settings accordingly, you may revert the settings and you will be able to boot to windows again.
Also, you may backup all your important data before performing the steps.
Keep me posted with the results. I will be glad to assist you further.

Hi clementhui,
It seems to be an issue with the operating system.
You may try to clean install the operating system and enable ISRT. Refer to link below for installing windows with ISRT enabled.

Hi clementhui,
You may run the diagnostics on the system to check the hardware functionality. Refer to the link http://dell.to/GAxNcY for steps on how to run diagnostics.
Also, check if ‘Acceleration’ is enabled in the Intel Rapid Storage application in the windows and ‘SATA Operation’ is set to ‘Intel Smart Response Technology’ in BIOS.
I suppose you are installing Windows 8 with ISRT enabled.
Share the exact error message and the screen on which you receive the message.
Keep me posted with the information. I will be glad to assist you further.
