Kinko's Printers
I am having difficulty printing documents at Kinkos. I have had some success in the past, utilizing their parallel connection and running it thru a port replicator.
However, few and fewer Kinko's have the parallel connection available - rather, they provide only a network connection to their printers.
I have followed all the proper protocols for setting up the network printing option, but I keep hitting a roadblock:
When I am setting up the TCP/IP port, I provide the IP address of the printer, then when I hit "next", it freezes the process and I get an error reporting message that tells me Windows Explorer has experienced and error and will be terminated.
I have tried dozens of times to set up this port, with the printer online, with it offline, with Windows Firewall turned on and with it off, with Norton Internet Security enabled and disabled, and with every combination of the above variables.
I am stuck, Kinko's is no help, and there's nothing in Microsoft's Knowledge Base about this issue.
Any ideas???
