Laptop Charging

hi there,

i got a dell inspiron n5110s laptop,,

i am always working with it while connecting my laptop to the electrical outlet,,,is it comfortable to the battery?

can it be damaged???

Hi Chathutr,

Ideally, once the battery is 100% charged, disconnect the AC Adapter and use the computer. Once the charge drops down close to 7%, connect the AC Adapter for charging the battery. This will enhance the battery life.

However, if you wish to keep the AC Adapter connected to the computer, the battery can be removed.

thanks kalyan s,,,so is it okay to the laptop by keeping the AC adapter connected to the computer for a few hours?

Hi Chathutr,

You are correct! It is absolutely fine to keep the AC Adapter connected to the laptop. When the AC Adapter is connected, the system will not utilize the battery. It is as good as without the battery.

Note: Found this information in one of our resources, I think it would help you. Do not leave a charged battery unused for long periods of time.  Once charged, you should at least use the battery at least once every two to three weeks. Also, do not let the battery completely discharge.
