Laptop keys are not functioning properly
Hi,
I recently bought Dell Inspiron N5110. In this laptop, keyboard keys are not functioning properly. I checked the online dell support. But those suggestions are not either relevant for my problem or even if I try those suggestions, the problem has not been resolved.
Problems are
- when I press the back slash key, it's entering this symbol #
- when I press shift and ' to get inverted commas, it is entering this symbol @
- when I press shift and back slash, it's entering this symbol ~
- when I press shift and 2 to get at the rate of symbol, it's entering this symbol "
- when I press shift and 3 to get hash key, it's entering this symbol £
I don't understand how come in a prestigious company laptop, all these defects are existing. I bought this laptop just 2 months back. From the beginning the functioning is like this. Could you please help me.
Regards,
Sridhar

Hi Shridhar,
Welcome to the Community. I guess you keyboard language has changed. Click on start, control panel, Region and Language, click on the Keyboards and Languages tab on top, click on change keyboard tab, and change it to English ( United States - US, click Apply and ok, and restart your computer.
Hope this helps.
Thank you
