Use the service tag to look up the original system specifications -- support.dell.com if the system was purchased in the U.S., .or use the Dell site where it was originally purchased if not.
I tried that route and my warranty is expired and it was saying something for me to pay for service. I just need to know how to look up the specific information on my own
That's only if you need to call - just use the service tag and the "original configuratiion" link. Or, since you will need to anyway, just remove the screen - the part number is on the back of it.
