Latitude E6410 Control Point Software - Connection Manager Missing
I've recently purchase some Latitude E6410/E4310 laptops & have found that the Dell Control Point Connection Manager is not avaialble on these models.
There was a feature in this software that enabled you to disable to disable other network adapters when the laptop was docked or connected via the Ethernet adapter. This feature is needed for anyone who docks laptops in a corporate environment.
It is activated on the E6400/E4300 series Control Point Connection Manager by going to Profiles/Change Settings/Program Settings & checking the "disable Simultaneous Connections" box.
This feature is needed on the new E6410/E4310 models. Will it be avaialble or is there a work-around? Please don't tell me about the manual methods to enable/disable the wireless connection.
Thanks,

Rick -
Are you suggesting to replace both the WLAN and LAN drivers and well as install the connection manager?
Thanks for your assistance. Headed to customer Monday and this will give me some ammo to start with.

SGM,
Yes, try the drivers first.
What do you see in the device manager? Connection enabled in these places?
You can try uninstalling the wireless adapter, the restart the computer. The new hardware wizard should find and install the drivers, if the drivers are installed.

Well uninstalled and reinstalled the new drivers. No luck. Having this issue on three machines now. Two with Dell wireless cards and one with a Intel card. At that point I would swear it was a network issue, but brought one of the new Dell's back to my office and was able to re-create the problem. Pulling my hair out on this one.
SW Dell last night and we made some tweaks on the Dell card.:
AP Compatibility Mode – Disabled
Disable Upon Wired Connect – Disabled
Minimum Power Consumption – Disabled
Seems to have worked here at the office, but will test on site today. Any more ideas on Intel side?
Also...just a OS questions you might be able to answer regarding the Dell Wireless tweaks. The wireless icon always shows in the task bar even though it's connected to the LAN. Does that mean wireless is always has priority even though I've set LAN as a priority in the network connections?
Thanks

This link clearly states above the table that E-Family laptops do not install drivers in the order listed:
How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order
A special link is offered for that:
Latitude E-Family and Mobile Precision reimage guide which won't load.. DUH!
Perhaps this is better:
