Linux driver for NVIDIA 8650

Question

I installed Linux on my Inspiron 8600 which has a NVIDIA graphics card installed. Unfortunately the downloaded driver does not do its job properly when starting XWindos and KDE. Im not able do resize my display nor to find an appropriate resolution. Did anybody have the same problem and knows a solution? Many thanks A...
