loading photos from camera

Dear Friends,
A while ago, when I plugged my camera into the USB port, WXP would then invite me to copy all the images in and show them to me when I was done.
Now, when I plug the camera in, it tells me I have a new HD and does nothing...

How do I get windows to treat the camera as it did before and not as simply a new HD?

thanks in advance,
-Don

Click on My Computer and see if there is anything that wasn't there before, maybe called removable media or something of the sort. Just a suggestion but I know that's how I copy pics from a cam. If it is there you can just copy and paste.

Also, this pertains to you also in another thread. Your camera is being treated a a removable USB storage device (which is what it is, made to store pictures) so read this:

With the camera plugged in, locate the camera in My Computer>Right click on it>properties>autoplay tab. There you will find options for setting up what you want windows to do when you plug your camera in (pictures). Good luck!
