loud cpu fan
hi, i have a cpu fan that is running really loud(not the external fan). it has gotten louder over the course of about 2 weeks. How would i go about fixing this problem. Someone that I know said that there might be dust in the fan.

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.
1.You can try taking the system apart and cleaning the fan.
2.You can try upgrading your bios to the latest version.
Different revisions of the bios contain different thermal heat presets.
A newer revision may cause the fan to come on less, and thus it will not be quit as annoying.
3.You can try a program called FanGUI.
Customers have reported that FanGUI lets you manually control when you fans come on or
off. This program may give you control over the fan, and let you activate it manually when
you need to. I8kfanGUI version 2.1.0.
