map network drive

I have an Inspiron N5010 STILL UNDER 1 YEAR Warranty and Dell is offering no Support.  They want to blame it on a Windows 7 software issue.  Of course Microsoft wont support since Dell installed.  This is why people buy Apple, I guess.

For some reason I am unable to connect to a network drive this morning.  I am able to connect to the internet and print to network printers.  But I cannot access the hard drive.  The address is saved and other computers can access.

Is there any reason, something that got check or unchecked, that would cause the Map not to connect?

Yes I have rebooted, yes the address is correct .  I just get a "Windows cannot connect to..." message.  Diagnose comes back with nothing.

Thanks

Hi, I'm facing the same problem - how did you fix?

Open a command prompt (start-run-cmd)  and try to ping the server on which the share is located (i.e., ping 192.168.x.y).

Does the server respond?
