Monitor Brightness

Question

I have an Inspiron 1150 and I was wondering if it is possible to change the monitor brightness. When ever I have it running of the battery, the monitor becomes too dim for me to read, especially if I am outside. Thank you for your help.

I figured it out.  Just in case someone wants to know it is the FN key + the up or down arrow.

you can also set the default settings in the bios so you can automatically have it at full brightness even when on battery.
